This is not because the entire site has taken place al chiuso, non sarebbe ovviamente possibile. Non perché noi avessimo una particolare predilezione per gli ambienti interni, non sarebbe vero. In questa storia non ci sono esterni perché fuori ci sono i giochi dei bambini, le risate dei ragazzi e le urla di vittoria, c’è il pianto dei più piccoli che sono caduti correndo, ci sono i canti ed i cerchi “tutti in piedi” per fare i bans, c’è la benda di “mosca cieca” ed i campi di gioco, ci sono 2 capitani che scelgono tra i loro amici i compagni di squadra, c’è una schiacciata con il pallone da pallavolo ed i bambini che il giorno dopo ritornano per giocare… Fuori c’è padre Paata che impiega 1 ora e mezza di fuoristrada tra una parrocchia e l’altra, c’è Simon che gioca con un bastoncino ed una lattina, che si arrampica sul carretto sporco e che ride guardando nella macchina fotografica. Fuori ci sono anche gli amici che lo prendono in giro e lui che ride per un palloncino con disegnata sopra una faccia (il bambino più felice del mondo?). Fuori c’è Simon che quella lattina cerca solo di romperla con il bastoncino… è il gioco più bello della Terra? Fuori… c’è il cantiere.
Questa "storia" è la vincitrice (ex aequo) del concorso "Che storia!" indetto dal Settore Internazionale di Caritas Ambrosiana tra i partecipanti all'edizione 2010 dei Cantieri della Solidarietà.

Interno sera – alloggio Caritas – Tbilisi – GeorgiaConclusi gli incontri di presentazione dei cantieri, terminati i colloqui di orientamento, archiviata la prima giornata di formazione, vissuta la 2 giorni di Castellanza, lette tutte le e-mail di coordinamento delle Supervisors, inviate le risposte ai messaggi, messo alle spalle il primo pomeriggio di cantiere ed a serata ormai inoltrata… “La torcia umana” al Supervisor n° 2: “Come ti chiami?”

Il clima è teso...d’altronde si sa, come dicevano alla formazione…ogni esperienza ha il suo momento difficile. La tensione comunque è davvero tangibile tant’è che cantieristi a disposizione e Supervisors sono tutti riuniti in salotto. Il clima è di attesa spasmodica; la serata è strana rispetto alle precedenti: un preoccupante gelo è sceso sui presenti e scuote gli animi. Il dubbio si dipinge sui volti di chi si sta ponendo un’evidente ma tacita domanda dettata dalla contingenza della situazione: “La torcia umana” sta facendo la doccia ed è un problema, perchè per fare la doccia s’è allontanato parecchio dalla tazza di ceramica su cui abitualmente siede negli ultimi 2 giorni.
